Cancel all your plans for this weekend: Katy Perry announced that she'll be live-streaming herself doing her thing at WitnessWorldwide headquarters from Thursday to Sunday to celebrate the release of her new album Witness.
You can watch all the action on YouTube via cameras set up throughout a Los Angeles house secured specifically for this event. So far, those who tuned in have been able to watch Katy snooze with her puppy Nugget, do yoga, answer fan questions, and chat with friends and collaborators on her album. Viewers have also been treated to live footage of a mural of Katy being painted and an artist setting up a domino art installation. It doesn't seem like much, but trust us, it's all strangely mesmerizing.
The multiday event kicked off on Thursday night with a YouTube Live performance that was a countdown to the midnight release of Witness, Katy's fifth studio album. "I feel like I was born on the internet. I'm gonna have a rebirth on the internet," she said, according to Entertainment Tonight.
This days-long live stream is only the latest in a string of publicity stunts leading up to her album's release. Over the past few weeks, Katy has been making the rounds in the press, opening up about her feud with Taylor Swift, scaring museum-goers, appearing on Saturday Night Live, challenging fans to bake pies, and Carpool Karaoke-ing—to name a few.
