Emotional tributes as girl, 14, dies and two other teens rushed to hospital after 'falling ill'

Police have launched an investigation after a 14-year-old girl died and two other teenagers were taken to hospital after falling ill. 

The 14-year-old has been named locally as Zoe Bremner, who was remembered by grief-stricken friends as "gorgeous" and "one in a million", the Daily Record reports.

The cause of the teen's death is being treated as "unexplained", said police, who also confirmed that a girl and boy, both aged 15, were being treated in hospital.

Officers were called to an address in the Cowcaddens area of Glasgow in the early hours of Sunday morning after receiving a report that a girl had died.

Police are carrying out inquiries into the death and the illnesses.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At around 12.45am on June 11, police received a report of a 14-year-old girl having died in Dundasvale Court.

"The death is being treated as unexplained.
